Something to Think About…

This week Alicia Keys accepted the 2009 BET Humanitarian Award for her work with Keep A Child Alive and various other charities. In her fabulously eloquent speech, she represents strong and passionate women well; demonstrating how we can achieve great levels of success for ourselves and still recognize those to come after us. Her speech was empowering but humble, and in it she quotes one of my favorite legendary women, Maya Angelou, causing me to ask myself “How are you giving back all the blessings you’ve received?”

Here’s something to think about:

“You shouldn’t go through life with a catcher’s mit on both hands; you need to be able to throw back.”
