In Her Shoes Home
Come Out & Support
The sun is shining brightly and the week is off to a beautiful start, ladies. I’m sure you have big plans for yourself over the next few days but what are you giving back to the community? In Her Shoes has just what you need to make the week complete. I have the pleasure of being on the host committee for yet another amazing Ladies Love NYC production and would love to see you there! The talented all female collective is joining forces in the name of autism for their first annual “Ladies Love NYC’S First Annual Tribute To Hip-Hop and Autism Awareness Fundraiser” at Brooklyn’s South Paw. With Bilal headlining and a super impressive music and visual artist line up, Ladies Love NYC is bringing back the “party with a purpose” in partnership with Autism Speaks, the nation’s largest autism science and advocacy organization.
While it may not always make the headlines, countless young children (including Bilal’s son) and families feel the challenging impact of autism each and every day. Ladies Love NYC is calling out the importance of educating our community and funding autism research initiatives committed to identifying the causes, prevention and treatments available. If you’re free on Thursday night please RSVP as soon as possible to be part of one of the hottest cause-related events NYC has to offer:
Date: Thursday, June 4th, 2009
