Since its inception, EDEN BodyWorks has been committed to inspiring women and girls of all ages to tap into their power. On November 5, 2016, the brand amplifies that commitment with its “Unleash Your Inner Shero” event featuring Simone Missick, of Netflix’s Luke Cage.

With one phone call that changed her entire life, Missick went from being an actress in the theatre and short film world to becoming a household name.

“Without the women who came before me, those who encouraged me to stand in my truth and be my full self, I would not be the shero I am today. I hope to inspire the same in women and young girls all over the world,” said Simone Missick.

In a one-on-one conversation with In Her Shoes Blog creator, Renae Bluitt, Missick will talk about her journey from Detroit to Hollywood and how she releases her inner powers every day to break down barriers on and off screen.

“We all have unique life experiences that build us into the person we were meant to be. Women and girls should be proud to show the world who they are and what they are capable of. We can all change lives and make a difference with the superpowers we were born with,” said EDEN BodyWorks Founder, Jasmine Lawrence.

“Unleash Your Inner Shero” will be hosted at MIST Harlem. Guests will enjoy light bites and beverages, receive a complimentary gift bag filled with EDEN’s best sellers (valued at $30), and share what makes them an #EDENShero. Event proceeds will be donated to the event’s non-profit partner, Petals-n-Belles, a New York City-based 501(c)(3) social development organization that empowers girls with creative workshops, real-world experiences, and academic coaching.
