The Ajile L. Turner Scholarship Foundation announces an exclusive special performance by COMMON at Farewell Summer 2012 Thursday, September 27th 2012 at Brooklyn’’s famed Galapagos Art Space in DUMBO, Brooklyn. An annual end of the summer tradition, Farewell Summer 2012 benefits the 3E: Education,
Entrepreneurship & Entertainment Scholarship awarded to students who demonstrate academic achievement and a desire to work in the arts & entertainment industries through entrepreneurial pursuit.


Also appearing live at Farewell Summer 2012 are soul ingénue YAHZARAH, newcomer CANDACE COLES, appearances by beat master and Grammy Award winner RAHZEL, DJ JS1 and other surprise celebrity guests. Tickets are available now online at at the following levels $25.00 general admission, $50.00 preferred seating, $125.00 Dream keeper (single VIP) and $500 3E Partner (VIP seating for four).

Common and Ms. Mattie L. Turner


Established in 2009 in loving memory of Ajile L. Turner by Ms. Mattie L. Turner in conjunction with the Common Ground Foundation, The Ajile L. Turner Scholarship Foundation’’s mission is to continue Mr. Turner’’s passion for the arts and entrepreneurship through scholarships, in school educational programs and mentorship for children residing primarily in Brooklyn, New York and Cincinnati, Ohio, the places Mr. Turner called home.

Serving in integral roles in the planning, promotion and presentation of events for all ages, The ALT Scholarship Foundation is most recently noted for drawing over 25,000 people to Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn for the 2010
Fort Greene Festival and its continued educational sponsorship of students around the country.

As a New York City storyteller, filmmaker, digital content creator, and PR strategist, Renae Bluitt created "In Her Shoes" to empower and enlighten women committed to realizing their dreams.
