To commemorate the launch of its new Coconut Shea collection, my client EDEN BodyWorks hosted “Style with EDEN” in New York City on Wednesday, March 20th at Midtown hot spot, Pranna. Guest speakers for the evening included: Celebrity Hair Stylist and Founder of Loving Your Hair with Natural Care, Felicia Leatherwood; BlackEnterprise.com Style Contributor and Image Consultant, Kéla Walker; Latisha Daring, Designer, Ashtyn LLC; and Milly Almodovar, Beauty EditorCosmopolitan for Latinas and founder, BeautyLogicBlog.com. The swanky after work affair gave New York City style mavens a chance to dig deep into their favorite topics: hair, beauty, and fashion with some of the best in the business. The highly sought after “Style with EDEN” panelists shared insider tips on how often we should deep condition our hair, the definition of a “co-wash,” which pieces in our closets we should retire this season, and how to update our looks using statement accessories.

Attendees were introduced to EDEN BodyWorks Coconut Shea products, a collection of five “must-have” styling aids including: Pudding Soufflé, Leave-in Conditioner, Co-wash, Curl Creme, and Edge Gel.

Media, blogger, and influencer guests included: Tori Nichel of NBC’s Fashion Star; Singer/Songwriter Alice Smith, Essence Magazine, Ebony.com, Juicy Magazine, Shake Your Beauty, ThisThatBeauty, Love Brown Sugar, Style and Beauty Doctor, Curly Girl Collective, and Natural Hair Does Care.

“Style with EDEN” will be hosted throughout Spring 2013 in Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Washington, D.C., and Oakland. Join the conversation on Twitter and Instagram: @edenbodyworks using hashtag: #StylewithEDEN.

The EDEN BodyWorks Coconut Shea collection will be available online April 1st and in select Walmart stores starting May 1st. For additional information visit: www.facebook.com/EDENBlog

About EDEN BodyWorks
EDEN BodyWorks was the brainchild of Jasmine Lawrence when she was just a child herself. At 11-years-old, Jasmine faced her first beauty challenge. Her hair was badly damaged and she was searching for all-natural products to nurture and restore her hair back to health. With no solution in sight, Jasmine took to her kitchen and concocted her own natural remedy. And there, the EDEN BodyWorks story begins.
Today, EDEN BodyWorks is still made with the same all-natural ingredients Jasmine used from the start. With no petroleum, mineral oils or sodium sulfates, EDEN’s natural goodness strengthens and repairs, leaving hair softer, stronger and healthier. And that is a beautiful thing.
