Julez For Japan

By  |

Solange Knowles is the mother of a budding entrepreneur! The talented songstress partnered with her six-year-old son to create the fashion line “Julez For Japan.” The inspirational clothing line was conceptualized by Julez and developed to benefit victims of Japan’s Tsunami. Designed by Clark Butterfield, this piece pictured above was inspired by his very own watercolor interpretation of Japan’s flag.

Solange shares how the idea came to life:

My son and I, we are on the West Coast still…we woke up on the morning of the earthquake and tsunami, at around six o’ clock that morning, and caught it on television. He was very affected by it and asked a lot of questions. We decided we wanted to do something together to help. Thus the t-shirts were born.

All “Julez for Japan” proceeds are going to Peace Winds Organization which is an non-governmental organization dedicated to the support of people in distress, threatened by conflict, poverty, or other turmoil.

Isn’t this just beautiful? Young people being the change they want to see in the world!  Be the first of your friends to snag a “Julez for Japan” piece by clicking here.
