My Umi Says…

‘Tis the season to be jolly and I think I’ve been doing an excellent job at it! Earlier this week I attended the Third Annual Okay Player Holiday Jammy at B.B. Kings in Times Square. Despite the Chi-Town cold temps that had the audacity to plummet throughout the evening, we bundled up and braved the elements. The show was packed with talented artists jammin’ in the name of Okay Player but the highlight was when two of my favorite MC’s, Black Thought and Mos Def, shared the stage for “Umi Says.”

Putting all Hip-Hop egos aside, the two wordsmiths hypnotized the crowd with an awesome collaboration that needs to go beyond the spontaneous performances we’ve seen over the years. Can we get an entire collaboration album, fellas? You are now rockin’ with the best!
