The Omi Woods Jewelry collection consists of contemporary heirlooms that celebrate all of our connections to Africa and her diaspora. The jewelry is individually and ethically handmade with fair trade African gold and globally sourced conflict-free fine metals. Omi Woods jewelry is intended to be worn everyday, gifted for special occasions and passed down to future generations so its meaning can live on for generations to come. Omi means ‘water’ in the Yoruba language. Together with Woods, it pays tribute to founder Ashley Alexis McFarlane’s Jamaican-Ashanti-Maroon heritage; the word Jamaica derives from the indigenous Taino word Xaymaca, meaning “land of wood and water.”
Lorraine West has always had an affinity for creating and donning unique jewelry. Her mother’s love for ornate pieces was the inspiration for Lorraine to delve into jewelry design while studying Illustration at Fashion Institute of Technology. After teaching herself how to manipulate various metals into beautiful original jewelry pieces, and with the increasing demand from family and friends to create custom designs, Lorraine West Jewelry was conceived.
Made from precious metals including gold, sterling silver, brass and copper and inspired by symbology and geometric shapes, Lorraine West creates strikingly elegant pieces that allow clients to connect to their own beauty and power. Lorraine West Jewelry is proudly handmade in NYC with love.

Yenaé (pronounced as Ye.Nay) is an online, high fashion jewelry brand influenced by the rich culture and heritage of Africa. We take shoppers on a journey inside Africa through our exquisite jewelry designs that fuse deeply rooted and diverse cultures with a twist of modern appeal. Beyond creating exquisite jewelry, we focus on telling an organically African story to change the perception and narrative of the continent at large, to showcase Africa in a positive light. This can be seen through our jewelry designs, gift ready packaging, and accompanying note cards that have the design inspiration story, which we obtain by working with historians and storytellers to learn about and share the stories.
As a New York City storyteller, filmmaker, digital content creator, and PR strategist, Renae Bluitt created "In Her Shoes" to empower and enlighten women committed to realizing their dreams.
