STINA & MAE was started shortly after the brand’s Founder, Mishell, had her first child. The former fashion journalist went from front row to the changing table with her first product, the SAFI Changing mat. After finding it difficult to find a changing mat that kept her son from touching gross public changing tables she decided to create one. She wanted the mat to be water resistant on both sides, antimicrobial for easy cleaning and large enough to keep adventurous hands from touching anything. Thus, SAFI vegan leather baby changing mat was created.

At the inception of STINA & MAE Mish set out to create social impact at every level of the company. Through social she joined mom chat groups to build community around motherhood. Also creating partnership with organizations that help aid families in need by donating 2% of revenue yearly to help fight childhood hunger or working with organizations that bring awareness to maternal help.

Coco’ Pie Clothing

Coco’ Pie Clothing shows Black girls how to celebrate their puffs, braids and ponytails with fun T-shirt designs that reflect their natural beauty. The brand’s founder and CEO Shantae Pelt was inspired to develop her line of cute tees after her daughter Mikayla saw a T-shirt with a Black girl on it. “Look, mommy! It’s ME on that shirt!” she said. The brand also sells accessories like hats, bags and pillows — all with the adorable logo.

Yinibini Baby

When Yinibini Baby founder, Soyini George was a little girl living in Guyana, South America, her mom used to take her to see her Great Aunt Jean (passed away in 2020), who was a great seamstress. She still remembers how she pinned and gathered the fabric to create style and bounce, all while holding animated and entertaining conversations with her mom. She draws her inspiration for color, texture and patterns from memories of her Uncle Reggie’s (Great Aunt Jean’s husband) garden.  He took pride in his garden, and the vibrant colors, textures and patterns of the fruits, flowers and vegetables still lingers her my mind. She applies the same meticulous care and love to her pieces, that her Uncle Reggie applied to his garden.

That was just the beginning of her love for art, design and color. After graduating from college, Soyini tarted Yinibini Baby! All of the clothing and accessories are all handmade or screen-printed and /or block-printed by hand.
