Enjoy Life Now!

By  |

A couple weeks ago as I was browsing through my addictive twitter feed, this inspirational update caught my attention and resonated with me so much that I immediately hit the retweet button. It’s a simple yet elegant statement that gently reminds us to enjoy every moment:

You’re much more effective when you’re having fun. And you can choose to have fun no matter what you’re doing.

– Ralph Marston, The Daily Motivator

As life takes us on this unforgettable journey, it often throws a few elements like: responsibility, career, accomplishment, degrees, and dreams in our direction. The element that is most often lost in the mix is a three letter word that had so much meaning in our younger years but is sometimes difficult to translate as we begin to mature:  F-U-N!

Well, I’m here to tell you it’s time to unpack the fun and bring it back. In our minds we often compartmentalize our lives and feel like certain emotions should be reserved for what we consider to be “appropriate” situations. Who says you can only enjoy yourself at a BBQ, birthday party, or a sunny beach day?  Those occasions are definitely enjoyable but have you ever thought to make everything you do throughout the course of your day fun? From picking out a stylish outfit that suits your personality to  bringing fresh energy to the office and unwinding at the end of the day, YOU have the power to design your life.

Even though we go through circumstances that aren’t always desirable, don’t add negativity to the situation by having a defeated attitude before you even start. Your thoughts are the foundation of your actions and the energy you radiate to the world. Make sure the seeds you plant in your mind are filled with joy, peace, and lots, and lots of laughter! Once you strip yourself of your physical accomplishments, the only thing you have left are priceless memories of unforgettable times.

Every single day you’re breathing should be another page added to your memory book. Enjoy life now!

Miracles & Blessings,
