Check On It
Step into Spring!
Yes! The temperature is finally rising and the stores are putting out the hot, sexy open toe shoes. I thought this day would never come! This weekend I was out shopping with my girls and decided to try a cute pair of sandals on for size. Can you say epic fail? The shoes were fabulous but my feet? Unacceptable!
Like most women, I’ve definitely taken advantage of the winter months and the fact that my feet were buried in thick socks and boots. These poor babies haven’t been pampered in a while so you know what that means. It’s crunch time, ladies. Time to get the feet ready for Spring!
If your feet are a tad bit less than perfect, here are few Spring-friendly tips to whip them back into shape:
Give them a good soak! – Soak your feet in warm water for 20 minutes. For an extra boost, add aroma therapy salts and oils to the water. Although hot water may feel great, be mindful of higher temps that may easily dry out your skin.
Try a paraffin wax – A paraffin wax is the perfect solution to soften your feet. The warmth of the wax increases blood flow and opens up the pores in your skin. Once the pores are open your skin is ready to absorb moisture.
Wrap ’em up! – Once you’ve soaked and waxed your feet it’s time to seal the deal. Massage feet with your favorite lotion or body oil and before bed, put on socks to lock in the moisture. Get a good night’s rest and wake up to incredibly soft feet!
If you’ve got some catching up to do before warm weather truly arrives get started ASAP with these quick and easy tips. You can’t rock a beautiful open toe sandal without the beautiful feet to match!
