Fearless One: Erykah Badu

Say what you will about Erykah Badu, in a world of cookie-cutter artistry, it’s refreshing to see a woman so committed to creativity. Badu, better known as @fatbellybella on Twitter, is bringing it once again with her new video, “Gone Baby, Don’t Be Long.” As one of my favorite tracks on Erykah’s “New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh” album, this song AND its video are giving me everything! With head nodding beats and oh-so-soothing vocals, “Gone Baby, Don’t Be Long” has been in constant rotation on my iPod since the album’s March 2010 release.

I’m so inspired by Erykah and her random acts of flyness. As a true creator, she carved her own niche early on in her career and OWNS  it. This woman’s got style, creativity and originality on lock! Enjoy…
