Out About Town: Polish Bar of BK’s Get Pretty!

By  |

In the words of the great American poet Kanye West: “Sunglasses and Advil. Last night was mad real…”

OK, so I don’t have on shades and really have no use for Advil, but last night was still quite magical. My PR consultancy, Crush Media, collaborated with Polish Bar of Brooklyn for yet another fabulous beauty event right here in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Appropriately titled “Get Pretty!”, this awesome beauty for a cause soiree was hosted by the lovely and talented Claire Sulmers of The Fashion Bomb, with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society.

Created to introduce the brand’s “Five Point Beauty Focus” (brow shaping, makeup services, lash application, trend manicures, and pampering massages), each installation of Get Pretty! will be hosted by one of the industry’s most respected voices. Polish Bar of Brooklyn’s PRO Beauty team, Rebecca Casciano and Starr Blackshere worked their magic on close to 50 beautiful faces as part of the Get Pretty! festivities. Many, many thanks to Goodie Box Bake Shop, our photographer Nik Wes Creative, and all of the fly bloggers and digital scribes who helped to make last night so amazing. There are too many of you to name, but do know you’re greatly appreciated!

Following are a few (well, quite a few) pics from the Get Pretty! kick off event at Polish Bar of Brooklyn:

Good idea to do five in one. The photos are beautifully colorful and bright with smiling people. The hair of some of the guests are nice, especially the naturally kinky and curly hair.
