“She Did That.” ESSENCE Fest Sneak Peek: Powered by Walmart
When I was working at ESSENCE years ago as a freelancer and new entrepreneur with a side-hustle blog, I would have never imagined this moment. If you’re attending ESSENCE Fest, consider this your personal invitation to join me, Lisa Price, Melissa Butler, and Walmart for the VERY FIRST (15 min.) sneak peek of my documentary, “She Did That.”
Following the screening, we’ll be chatting about Lisa’s & Melissa’s journeys and how Walmart has helped their brands, Carol’s Daughter and The Lip Bar, reach the masses. If you’re the founder of a Black woman-owned business (or plan to be one soon) we want you to join the conversation. So many independent brands are intimidated by the thought of selling their products with mass retailers. With over 3,000 diverse suppliers, Walmart is committed to supplier inclusion and has executives on board like Michael Byron, who go above and beyond to seek out the top Black women-owned businesses to partner with. Your brand can be one of them.
We look forward to seeing your beautiful faces on Friday afternoon at ESSENCE Fest!
