Relax. Relate. Release.

By  |

You’ve been fighting a slight headache that just won’t allow you to rest. You’re working on a client deadline but all you can think about is belly flopping into that queen size bed. The work day has finally ended, however, your fairy tale ending isn’t so sweet. Your body is fading into the night and now you have to put the breaks on your racing mind as well. Here are some tips on how to wind down after a busy day:

Sip it Out – Yes, I’m a woman who believes good tea is the answer to every problem in the world. From wrapping up a stressful day to the quiet moments alone before the rest of the city wakes up, a cup of tea is the key to relaxation. As you sip on your tea, give yourself time to exhale, work through all of your unfinished thoughts and project greatness for the day!

Stretch it Out –  Even though your body has been moving all day, it still hasn’t had a chance to really loosen up. Take 10 minutes before going to bed and simply stretch. You’ll be amazed at how completely relaxed it’ll make you when it’s time to hit the sheets.

Write it Out – Writing allows you to spill your honest thoughts out on paper. No guidelines, no judgement, no rules or proper punctuation. Just write whatever comes to mind. It doesn’t even have to make sense. This is just a good way to do a brain dump and free your mind.

I know we all lead busy lives and tend to burn the candle at both ends, but getting a good night’s rest is vital to your success. Respect and love your body enough to give it the rest and relaxation it deserves.

Miracles & Blessings,
