“We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give.”

– Winston Churchill

Truer words have never been spoken. There’s no limit to the gratification felt when you take the time out to give, especially to the youth. As many of you may know, I presented a group of young, Brooklyn go-getters with the first ever “Aspiring Fly Female Entrepreneur” award at my blog’s five year anniversary event on April 6th. Seeing the pride on their pretty little faces filled me up with enough joy to last for months! To make that moment extra special, my friend Tricia Lee, owner of Polish Bar of Brooklyn, surprised the girls with an internship at her store. The girls were already doing manicures on their stoop, making money off of their talents and getting publicity for it. Why not take it to the next level by seeing how it’s done in a professional environment?

On Monday, April 21st, Baby Girls Nails took a day off from their spring break to visit Polish Bar of Brooklyn for a truly unforgettable experience. Tricia Lee walked them through the process of servicing a client and even blessed the girls with their own Polish Bar manicure (complete with glitter, of course)! Our good friends over at The Clever Agency wanted in on the fun so they followed the little ladies with cameras as they prepared to catapult their brand, one polish color at a time. Take a peek at how our afternoon unfolded:
