Switch it Up!

“Absolutely not, it won’t work! I’ve failed too many times, been disappointed  and simply been hurt numerous times in the past. It only makes sense that if I take this opportunity or open up I would only be fooling myself . I’ll end up in the same position that I am now – frustrated, confused and just plain irritated. So  you know what? I’m going to save myself the trouble and just simply say…”

“No, thank you. I’m not interested.”

This above scenario is what many women go through when dealing with new opportunities in life.  From doing a career change, to opening up a new relationship or simply switching up your daily routine, we’ll say no before the opportunity is finished showing itself. Before we actually say the word “no,” we will give 4,385 reasons of why we need to bob and weave around the situation instead of take advantage of it.

It’s time to switch it up! Yes, our past teaches and molds us but it does not dictate our future. We  sometimes get  so comfortable saying that we don’t even know when new opportunities presents themselves.

The mentality of  saying no to “protect” yourself  may be doing more harm than good. Life is about growth and indulging in new experiences! So let’s switch it up…YES!
