Happy Love Day, beautiful people! I hope this message finds you in high spirits and snatching up all the blessings that life has to offer. My baby, In Her Shoes, is turning nine this year. Can you believe it!? Nine revolutions of digital discovery, curated conversations, mind-shifting experiences, and inspiring stories of Black women chasing their wildest entrepreneurial dreams.

Throughout the years, our magical meet-ups, insightful interviews, and caption commentaries have provided boundless inspiration and in late 2016, I decided it was time to elevate the conversation. I conceptualized my first documentary, “She Did That.,” and it has been a challenging but oh so beautiful journey. “She Did That.” captures the stories of Luvvie Ajayi (New York Times best-selling author, speaker and digital strategist), Lisa Price (founder, Carol’s Daughter), Melissa Butler (founder, The Lip Bar), Tonya Rapley (founder, My Fab Finance), and many other women who are making “herstory” as the fastest growing group of entrepreneurs in the country.

“She Did That.” is poised to change lives, elevate minds, and serve as inspiration for young girls who need to see what’s possible with hard work and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Today, I would like to personally invite YOU to be a part of history and join the “She Did That.” GoFundMe campaign. Your contribution will help support one of the first documentaries to highlight Black female entrepreneurship!

Representation matters. Our stories matter. Our dreams matter.
