Smell the Roses

“If you admire someone you should go ahead and tell them. People never get the flowers when they can still smell them…”

-Kanye West

It’s often funny that after someone passes their life becomes more valued and appreciated.  From musicians, artists, and entertainers, their work is quickly priced higher and gains much more publicity.  This is often disheartening simply because it should not have to take someone’s death for us to realize their value in our lives. We have reminders in life that tell us that we just need to be grateful and appreciative of all the people we love and care for.

Bury the Hatchet Yes, it’s been over five years since the argument with your girlfriend over the “he say she say” dispute.  Let it go. The last thing you want is to hold a grudge against someone over a petty argument.

Peace of Mind It’s okay not to be close friends with everyone in your past but at least try to find peace in the situation. This is key in not keeping emotions pinned up inside and allowing anger to unfold.

Say it Loud “Well, I don’t tell you because you should already know I love and care for you.” Sometimes we take advantage of what we think people should already know but it’s good to hear from time to time.

Just realize who you love and why you love them. Tomorrow isn’t promised for any of us which makes each day we live just a little sweeter than the day before. Send a card, make an unexpected phone call, squeeze that special someone a little tighter to show your love and appreciation. To put it simply…just love!

Miracles & Blessings,
