Pucker Up with Bobbi Brown

By  |

Beauty isn’t about looking perfect. It’s about celebrating your individuality.

– Bobbi Brown

If I asked you to try out a neon orange lipstick or lip gloss would you go for it or give me the side eye? I can see the side eyes and hear the “she’s crazy” grunts now. However, if makeup maven Bobbi Brown showed you how to infuse color into your everyday make up regimen I bet you would. This season Bobbi Brown Cosmetics introduces the Neons and Nudes Collection. The lip glosses and lipsticks are in dope bright hues of orange, pink and purple and will have you tossing those light pinks and reds out the window. It’s much easier to trust a make up guru that has been innovative in the way women see make up as a whole.

The Bobbi Brown brand has been a mainstay in the fashion world for over 20 years. Brown fell in love with makeup at an early age and went on to earn a BFA in theatrical make up from Boston’s Emerson College. Upon moving to New York and freelancing her first big break came from doing Naomi Campbell’s face for an American Vogue cover. A chance meeting with a chemist sparked the mega makeup brand that you know today. Brown set out to create make up that offered women a more natural look. Although Estee Lauder purchased the company in 1995, Brown still maintains the Creative Director position. She’s still a fixture in the fashion world. You can catch her backstage at shows, on TV segments, writing books (five times New York Times best selling author) and fully engulfed in her philanthropic efforts, “Bobbi’s Causes”.

This is the year of strutting out of our comfort zones and expressing ourselves. What better way to say I’m bold and fearless than with a daring lip color. The orange shade looks amazing on our skin tones. Have you seen the gutsy fashionista Solange Knowles rocking it? Gorgeous! For more makeup trends and tips log on to www.bobbibrowncosmetics.com.
