New Media/New Strategies

By  |

Last week I had the pleasure of catching Karen Tappin-Saunderson, founder of Karen’s Body Beautiful, as she shared priceless knowledge on how to launch and maintain a successful e-commerce site. As part of the Brooklyn Public Library’s “New Media/New Strategies” series, Karen gave us the inside scoop on how she launched her brick and mortar business and how she’s been able to maintain one of the most successful natural hair and skin care websites on the web.

The audience was packed with men and women of all ages and cultural backgrounds looking for ways to grow their brand’s online presence. With an informative and intriguing discussion, Karen captured the crowd’s interest while leaving each of us inspired and empowered  – ready to conquer the ‘net!

I know what you’re thinking…going to the library is something many of us stopped doing in college but please don’t sleep! The Brooklyn Public Library’s Business Library is an amazing resource for entrepreneurs as it provides free access to business and investment resources. For additional information on the Business Library’s wide array of offerings, visit www.brooklynpubliclibrary.org.

Following are a few shots of Karen’s New Media/New Strategies discussion:
