Keep it Moving

By  |

Keep it moving. Three simple words that hold so much power but are often easier said than done. As I was waiting for a friend to catch up and have our weekly chat, I noticed a sticker strategically placed on the patio chair that said “Keep it Moving.” On the bottom in a lovely magenta font it also read “Life doesn’t stop, only you do.” Food for thought, anyone?

Life has an interesting way of reminding us that we must continue on our journeys to better ourselves and other’s around us. After coming through a personal storm, be it financial, relationships, or self discovery, we’re so grateful that we made it to the other side that the last thing we want to do is make the next move. The first step towards getting back on your feet can feel like the hardest because you’re practically starting over from scratch. Having a fresh start is not necessarily a bad thing. It allows you to revamp your mind, spirit and body. Who doesn’t want that?

As female entrepreneurs hard work and challenges are par for the course.  Going through rough patches is what seems to trigger growth and makes the prize that much sweeter. The one action you must do is simply keep moving forward. It’s nice to step back every so often to regroup and breathe but do not disqualify yourself from the game. After you’ve had your water break in life it’s time to jump back in and continue playing. Keep it moving then glance back to see how much you’ve accomplished by taking life one step at a time!
