NYC Event: In Her Shoes & Sundial Brands Present “The Brothers Behind the Brands”

The Brothers Behind the Brands Invite 2.8.16

New York City! I’m super excited about this one. After interviewing the fellas over the past few years for my “In His Shoes” series it has really been on my heart to bring this element of the blog to life. The truth is, our men don’t celebrate themselves enough and they most certainly aren’t recognized enough in our communities and by the media. It’s time for a paradigm shift and this is my small (but hopefully, impactful) contribution. #BlackGirlMagic is powerful but let’s be clear, #BlackManBrilliance is ALL around us and beyond worthy of much more shine!

That said, I hope you can join us in DUMBO, Brooklyn on March 1st for my first all-male panel discussion, “The Brothers Behind the Brands.” This thought-provoking conversation will provide you with an opportunity to get deep into the minds of four successful and progressive New York City change agents:

Ouigi Theodore: Founder, A Brooklyn Circus

Alzo Slade: Co-Founder, Grits & Biscuits

Emil Wilbekin: Founder, W.O.W. (World of Wilbekin)

Richelieu Dennis: Co-Founder, Sundial Brands

Their combined experience and dedication to running innovative and widely embraced brands will undoubtedly spark an empowering conversation about our common opportunities, challenges and successes on the entrepreneurial journey.

Presenting Sponsor: Sundial Brands (Manufacturers of Shea Moisture & Nubian Heritage)

Official Media Partner: Black Enterprise (BE Modern Man)
