In Her Shoes Named Best Biz Blog of the Year

By  |

Yes, what you’ve heard is true! In Her Shoes took home the “Best Business Blog” of the year award at the Black Weblog Awards this weekend in Los Angeles! To be in a room with SO many amazing bloggers and then receive this honor was like a dream. As you read in my last post, I wasn’t even planning to attend the Black Weblog Awards this year so heading out at the last minute and actually winning made for a magical experience!

I’d like to extend a huge e-hug to each and every person reading this post. YOU are the reason why In Her Shoes exists. Your support over the past 2.5 years is greatly appreciated and if you took time out of your busy schedule to vote, I owe you my first born!

Words can’t fully express how grateful I am for this honor. Receiving it has definitely inspired me to work twice as hard to grow In Her Shoes and take this baby to the next level. Special thanks to all of the amazing Fly Female Entrepreneurs who’ve been generous enough to share business tips, wisdom, and words of inspiration for the blog. Each of you, in your own special way, have inspired me to be the higher me! And to my fabulous contributor, Miss Ellisa Oyewo, thank you for flaunting your writing prowess on In Her Shoes. I appreciate you immensely!

Following are a few pics from this year’s Black Weblog Awards ceremony held Saturday, July 10th, 2011 in Los Angeles California. Enjoy!

Heading down to the Black Weblog Awards…fingers crossed!
